Why We Should Seek God's Wisdom

In life, we face many challenges, but the wisdom of God gives us hope. It guides us through the unknown with a promise of something greater than we can imagine. The scriptures offer us a glimpse into God's boundless power as stated in Ephesians 3:20–21, which says,

"Now to Him who can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

This verse shows that God's wisdom surpasses our expectations and desires. It works on a higher plane, operating according to the divine power within us, orchestrating outcomes that surpass our wildest dreams.

The story of Daniel and his friends is a testament to this truth. They faced the threat of annihilation for their inability to interpret King Nebuchadnezzar's dream, but they did not lose hope. They sought the mercies of the God of heaven, believing in the supremacy of His wisdom over earthly knowledge. God rewarded their faith with a revelation that spared their lives and revealed the futility of worldly wisdom.

“Then Daniel went to his house, and made the decision known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions, that they might seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of heaven.” Daniel 2:17–19.

Sometimes, we may question God's presence when we don't receive an immediate response to our pleas. However, it is often in those moments of stillness that God orchestrates His most extraordinary works. His wisdom unfolds in supernatural ways, leaving us in awe of His providence.

“For the Wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness.”” 1 Corinthians 3:19.

Therefore, let us hold steadfast in our faith, trusting in God’s infinite wisdom. Let us wait upon the Lord with unwavering hope, for His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. In every circumstance, let us emulate Daniel, wholly relying on the wisdom of our heavenly Father. He is the architect of our victory, weaving a masterpiece from the threads of our lives.

Blessings!
