The first birthday marks our physical entry into the world and is often celebrated with jubilant fanfare. The Scriptures guide us to lay up our treasures in heaven, where they remain incorruptible and beyond the reach of harm.  Investing our blessings for Christ transforms them into treasures stored in the celestial vaults of heaven. This concept of the “Central Bank of Heaven” emerges as we intentionally invest our resources for eternal purposes.  Every act of kindness, every use of talent, and each stewardship of material possessions become deposits into an account that transcends worldly constraints. Acts chapter 12 tells the story of Herod's cruel acts towards the apostles. After killing James, he arrests Peter and imprisons him during the Passover festival. However, an angel of the Lord miraculously frees Peter from the prison (Acts 12:3-4). Similarly, Exodus chapter 12 recounts the first Passover, in which God liberates the Israelites from Pharaoh's harsh slavery. Peter's miraculous escape from prison is like a replica of the first Passover, where an angel delivers him. During the night, an angel of the Lord appears to Peter while he's asleep and instructs him, "Gird yourself and bind on your sandals" (Acts 12:8). Similarly, God gives the same instructions to the Israelites on the night they eat the Passover lamb: "Thus you shall eat it with your belt girded around, and your sandals on your feet" (Exodus 12:11).
