The Truth About Money: A Spiritual Perspective

Image
In our fast-paced lives, money often takes the spotlight. It yields a significant influence on our decisions, relationships, and sense of security. But what does money truly mean? Let’s delve into this subject from a spiritual viewpoint. The Parable of the Rich Fool In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus shares a parable about a wealthy man who experienced a bountiful harvest. Instead of sharing or using his wealth for good, he resolved to build larger barns to store his crops and goods. He intended to relax, indulge, and live merrily. However, that very night, his life was demanded of him, leaving behind his amassed possessions. “And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do since I have no room to store my crops?’ So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’But God said to him, ‘Fool!

Eternal Dependence: Embracing Our Heavenly Father's Unfailing Support

In the journey of faith, the concept of dependence often transforms. Unlike earthly relationships where independence is celebrated, our spiritual walk with our heavenly Father invites a different approach—one of perpetual reliance and trust.  Abiding in Divine Love The scripture from John 15:7–8 illuminates the essence of this divine relationship. It speaks of abiding in Christ and His words, a process that nurtures our desires and aligns them with God's will. As we remain in Him, we not only fulfil our purpose but also bring glory to the Father, bearing fruit that signifies true discipleship. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. – John 5:7–8. The Contrast with Earthly Expectations Our earthly fathers, with the best intentions, guide us towards self-reliance. Yet, in the kingdom of heaven, the paradigm shifts. We are encourag

Transformation Coming Soon: Let Jesus Be Your Architect

Life is a journey that often shows us the stark contrast between the past and the present. It can leave us feeling perplexed, especially when we compare and contrast. But there is a profound truth embedded in the transformative power of time. Just as an architect turns an oddly constructed structure into a luxurious facility, our lives, too, can receive a revitalizing touch.  No matter how broken or neglected we may feel, there is always hope for transformation. The feeble skeleton of a neglected and abandoned building need not stay in disarray forever. Change is imminent, and it's coming soon, provided you invite Jesus in.  Amid our brokenness, Jesus sees unlimited potential and works tirelessly to bring that potential into the world. He is the master refurbisher capable of transforming our lives into abundance. With Him, we are recreated into new creatures, free to soar and explore all the beauty and potential that this life has to offer.  So, if you're feeling lost or broken

Eternal Investment

The Central Bank of Heaven  As believers, we are entrusted with time, talents, and material possessions. The Scriptures guide us to lay up our treasures in heaven, where they remain incorruptible and beyond the reach of harm.  Investing our blessings for Christ transforms them into treasures stored in the celestial vaults of heaven. This concept of the “Central Bank of Heaven” emerges as we intentionally invest our resources for eternal purposes.  Every act of kindness, every use of talent, and each stewardship of material possessions become deposits into an account that transcends worldly constraints. The dividends from this divine investment are immeasurable, promising a return that exceeds earthly calculations.  Investing in heaven necessitates withdrawing our resources from earth, but this is not a loss. It is a deliberate choice to redirect our assets towards heavenly investments, trusting that the Central Bank of Heaven is a secure repository that safeguards and multiplies our tr

This is what happens when love breaks us

Loving ourselves and others is the most powerful thing we can do on earth. But how do we love? Entirely, sincerely, purely, wholeheartedly? We struggle to love, we fear to love. You know that, and I know. It is only God’s love, embodied in Jesus Christ that can make us to truly and purely love. When we receive, learn, and embrace it. When we allow this love to flow inside; into our minds, hearts, spirits and souls. When we’re full of this love, to the extent that we experience an overflow. Then this love flows outside; into the lives of others. God’s love for us is dimensionless and unlimited. It has no boundaries and is everlasting. God loves us all, unconditionally, despite our foibles and frailties. “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ~Romans 8:38-39.
