Authority vs Power: The Distinction That Changes How You Walk in God's Kingdom

There is a distinction in Scripture that believers must understand clearly. It is the difference between authority and power. And a failure to understand it explains why many sincere, Spirit-filled Christians find themselves struggling in areas where they should be walking in consistent victory. We reach for power when the situation calls for authority. We pray louder when we should be standing firmer. We pursue more gifts when what we actually need is deeper relationship. These two things are not the same. And confusing them has consequences. Two Different Greek Words, Two Different Realities The New Testament was written in Greek, and the Greek language is precise in ways that English translations sometimes fail to convey.
